The Residence of Etihad Airways

Etihad Airways announced their new airline living space known as “The Residence” featured the the new Airbus A380. It is described as the most luxurious and classiest airline suite in the whole world. “The Residence” is the first three room 125-square-foot cabin to ever be in the air. It has enough room for a double bedroom, living room, and bathroom. It also happens to be the first aircraft cabin to be created by expert designers. The living room includes a double seat leather sofa, an ottoman a two guest dining table, and 32-inch flatscreen TV and a mini fridge. The bathroom is also a fully-equipped en suite shower room. Etihad Airways also introduces the first butlers in air in the world. Each guest will also get their own butler, that have been trained at Savoy Academy, for service such as breakfast in bed. First Class Chefs will also prepare five-star dishes of the passenger's request based on their preference and taste. Located between the First Class and Business Class is The Lobby where guest of “The Residence” can converse and enjoy the accommodations of the lounge, bar area, and large screen television. But even those in the Business Class, different from First Class, get to experience a quite fancy cabin known as “The Studio” and “The Apartment.” Though these are not as spacious and luxurious as “The Residence,” passengers still get to a enjoy having their own TV and bed and eating area. In Etihad, the Economy Class is known as the “Smart Seat.” This area includes an adjustable headrest seat and a small personal touch screen TV with on demand entertainment. The CEO of Etihad Airways, James Hogan, reported that their first ten A380 superjumbos have already been sold out. The cost for a one-way eight-hour trip in “The Residence” is $20,000. Because of their big success, Etihad is planning on expanding “The Residence” to serve Sydney and New York as well in 2015 and receiving three more A380 aircrafts to their list. While Etihad is already starting to improve their first class even more, their competitors, British Airways and Qantas Airways, are also working on making traveling with them a less of a hassle.
